A lazy day

Beaughtiful sunny day but nothing planned other than a lazy lie-in. Time to re-gather thoughts and watch Arsenal take on Spurs near the top of the league and win but with a huge injury list and some tough league fixtures nothing can be taken for granted. I have suggested Arsenal send their injured to Leicester Royal  to quickly get their squad back to full fitness. Yes, I am joking.

Getting ready

Another bright ,  sunny day, finally convincing us to get Tardis Two ready to sail. Arrangements were finalised with the engineers who will confirm when the work will be completed within the next few days.

Comparisons

We had reason to re-visit Liecester Royal this morning and was almost impossible not to compare it with the Royal Orthopaediic in London, which closely resembles something off the Starship Enterprise, while Leicester Compares better with "call the midwife". The building is huge but split into tiny broom cupboards. The other comparison is with Captain Pugwash and the Black Pig which has several layers of "management", none of whom knows what the rest of the crew is doing. Absolute disaster is always avoided by Roger the cabin boy who finds the most simple solution

A quiet ,warm sunny day, further tempting us to get the boat up and running again.

Spring break-0ut

Expect many breakage puns over the next few weeks, reflecting the lighter mood......sorry. The long journey and hours awake all took their toll  on my activities,so nothing much to report today other than to continue my pre-op fitness regime.

Today the regime involved three Bradgate park rangers, two Land Rovers and an all-terrain vehicle plus some very helpfull members of the public, and of course me, as stupid as ever. My walk through Bradgate park was ill-advised, badly planned and badly executed. I can only apologise to all involved. The rangers reunited me with Lynne at one of the park gates where food and drink brought me back to somewhere near normality, albeit mud splattered. 

Give me a break

The mystery of my long-standing ( excuse the pun ) leg wound was finally solved today when the London surgeon confirmed it had been broken but has virtually healed. A minor op to remove a loose bone chip and any remaining infection has been booked for 15th April. The question remains how the break remained  undetected for so long.

Ups and downs

The highs of yesterday failed to repeat themselves for no obvious reasons  but I'm hoping to find answers in London later this week.

Out of hibernation

Spring and summer arrived with a vengeance yesterday, sunshine and very warm. We took the opportunity of showing off the boat to friends. The whole event boosted my esteem considerably.
